I figured instead of ranting about various movies in other people's thread we could just have one big thread about all of our movie gossip. ecspeacilly with all of the kool movies coming out in 09'. here feel free to post all the juicy info on upcoming movies or ask questions to all of NA for information on a upcoming flick your really interested in.

so, am I the only one interested in the upcoming "thundercats" movie? its by the same director of Iron Man, so we can trust they won't screw up it....too bad atleast. I'm highly upset with their choice of cheetara (jessica simpson), but they pulled a nice panthro (Michael Clarke Duncan) so i guess it ALMOST makes up for it. oh, and guess who's snarf, "seth green". how hilarious is that.

As much as i love the idea of a thundercats movie, i just can't imagine them making ANY of the characters look good.

just look how horrid the live action speed racer people turned out >_< (the over colourful designs just don't suit live action. just look at x-men, how they had to 'modify' all the characters main costumes)

I happen to look foreward to the colors of that movie, I havent seen it yet. but I hear that siezures ROCK.

(NOT MAKING FUN OF EPPILEPSY sp. weeell only, kind of because my friend made the joke first.)

And, Y'know, you're right. Hollywood does tend to make cartoon designs look fuct up on live action, and I always have high expectations.


Oh, and just throwin this out there. But I think Terry Crews would be a cool panthro, just cause he rawks. I have nothing against Michael Clark Duncan, but I think he's a little girthy for the part.

But as for the actual news of the movie happening, Im stoked no matter what.

good point, or maybe its the fact that the characters looked cheesy to begin with. you take a claw cutting bad@$$ like wolverine and dress him up like a bumble bee and lets not get started on how easy it is pull gay jokes out of spider-man, but his koolnes outweighs the queerness of his costume so, "its all good". Its a very tricky ordeal, sometimes when you altar a characters look, no matter how gay it is, it just doesn't feel the same. take superman for instance, he just wouldn't be the same ol superman if he wasn't wearing his underwear over his pants. feel sorry for the directors, no matter what they do they'll always upset one side of the fans.

Jake Gyllenhaal for prince of persia, WTF!? I thought the obvious choice would of been Sendhil Ramamurthy (dr. seresh) from heroes, ya'noe, the guy who actually LOOKS persian. he has the accent and everything. They even considered him but he only had a 13%vote from America. so fustrating. you line people like Orlando bloom,Sendhil Ramamurthy , the actual prince of persia david-zandi , and then give it to the gay cowboy!! brokeback mountain is controlling the sands of time, son of a pickle! I just know he better get a serious tan.

thats not nearly as bad as the fact that leonardo dicaprio is signed on to play the lead character in the live action AKIRA movie(s) (its supposed to be in like 2 parts), or that steven speilberg is supposed to produce or direct the live action Ghost in the Shell movie. can we not taint that which is wholesome upon touching?

Im looking forward to two movies so far. The Bioshock movie that was just announced and the Prince of Persia movie.

Not too worried about them screwing up Bioshock and it seems like they might have a chance at making an actually pretty decent videogame movie. Its going to be directed by Gore Verbinski who directed most or all of the POTC movies and the script will be written by John Logan who wrote the scripts for Gladiator and Sweeney Todd.

All ive heard about the Prince of Persia movie is that Jake Gyllanhall will play the prince. Not sure how hes going to pull that off but it might work though I doubt it.

sooo...just checked out the incredible hulk movie. well, it was more like the "adequate" hulk, but it definetlly delivered on the action. lots of gamma radiated exploding mayhem. I give it an 8.2, if your a comic book fan you'll enjoy it more. but if you never browsed through a incredible hulk comic or really know the history of the character it'll just be "semi-ok" to you. though both groups can agree on the awesomeness of the epic CG showdowns. I garuntte you your gonna miss out if you don't do your homework tho.

like when bruce banners gamma juice (man that sounds dirty..oh yeh) leaked onto the open wound on Mr.blu's head and his brain got all freaky. normal people would go "wtf" then move right back on to the action, not noticing that was actually the birth of "the leader". one of hulks greatest foes.

this time they stayed true to story, its how it should of been done the first time. it was no iron man ofcourse, all in all it was jus "aight". well...more like one small level above "ok". and if your wondering, the avenger teasers jus keep on comin.

well heres the story line..........

I can't wait for Hancock and Wanted

Man I got the money for the original comic Wanted is based off of, so I might pick that up soon. And Hancock...sigh...a homeless black superhero, who is careless and overly destructive, played by Will Smith? Do I need to say more?

Yeah, Hancock looks really good. I was going to go see it this weekend, but I never got around to it, sadly. So I'm hoping to go see it sometime this week. It might end up being one of the ones I've got to wait weeks to see, however.

I'm looking forward to the Thundercats movie as well, I just want to see how well they do with the characters.

they are, the secret to marvels success is that they by passed hollywood and forked out the money for their own movie production, "marvel.studios". that way they have full creative control and are able to deliver a kickass movie that serves the comic justice and most importantly, appeals to the fans.

well then there they go. Because those two movies were on point. And even the cameos were on point. Because SHIELD will be in Iron Man 2, and the Hulk 2 is the Hulk suit. Iron Man made the hulk a suit just like his. Then its the avengers movie, then its the Hulk Buster suit that Iron Man uses to fight the Hulk
