A few months ago I bought Portal for my PC only to find that it wouldn't run properly. I wasn't sure what to do about it but after having a discussion with our very own Baka, he determined that the problem was that my computer doesn't have enough memory. The solution to this, he told me, is to buy a memory stick.
That's fine, but what exactly is a memory stick, and how do I know which kind I should get? What do I need to know about my computer to figure out which type I need? When I get it, where does it go? I would rather not take my computer somewhere to get it checked out, but if that's my only option I can do that. Still, I'd much rather take care of it myself.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Also um, I'm not computer illiterate or anything, but I don't know the technical terms for everything, so it would be great if you could translate into stupid so I can follow along.
